History

The official name of the farm is Brunnshyttan Gard (“Well House Farm”).

The extensive farm was abandoned around the 1940s. The Swedish Army then rented the barn and renovated it. There was no military use of any kind. It is assumed that, if necessary, soldiers could use the barn for sleeping purposes. In the 1980s, the lease agreement with the Swedish Army ended. After that the main house was used privately as a summer house. In the past, the judge responsible for the area, also lived in Brunnshyttan.
